Journey phase 2

Organisational design

The design of a scalable organisation

Description

After phase 1, it is clear what the organisation needs in order to scale and grow sustainable. During this phase, we will make the “best” design to fit your organisation. What will be the structure and what kind of culture fits the organisation? Which processes need to be developed or redeveloped? Through the right setup, having a growth plan and an organisational roadmap that is both ambitious and achievable, you are able to set the organisational design in practice.

The process

This phase is about designing the "right" organisation. How do you scale as an organisation and what are the priorities in order to make an organisation roadmap. What will be the way for working together internally, and externally. This phase will include, an organisational roadmap, way of working, objective key results, and a communication plan.

Steps

Related workshops

Depending on the business needs we offer the following workshops in this phase. Also it is possible to book these workshops separately.

Organisational Roadmap

Imagine If supports with setting up an organisation roadmap. A roadmap is a strategic living artifact that aligns, prioritise, communicates the strategy and growth of the organisation. It is also sometimes called a portfolio Roadmap

Organisational Culture

To develop a meaningful connection with not only your customer but also with the internal organisation, it is essential to define what you value as an organisation.

Leadership Team Day

It is important for leaders and their leadership team to understand their role during the growth or transformation. Most of the time due to rapid growth, the leadership team is not yet in place or is newly formed. Leaders are critical enablers in helping the organisation to be successfull.

Team Days

It is important for teams to get to know each other, in order to support and achieve better results. Teams in a great, safe atmosphere & organisation climate perform better and are happier at work. Depending on the organisation needs Imagine If offers different team days

Processes

A process framework helps your organisation to develop or redevelop processes. The design will help to understand what will be the process that needs to be followed. It also generates conversations and collaboration. There are a lot of different approaches available depending on the needs of the organisation.

Way of Working

How you work and the structure of your organisation, will influence how people work and how they collaborate. Due to growth and scaling quickly it can be sometimes difficult to know which way of working is the most effective for your organisation.

The outcome

At the end of this phase, Imagine If will provide your organisation an actionable and measurable roadmap(s) towards a higher-performance culture.

What comes next

Phase 3, execute and transform, we will bring the organisational design in practice. It is important that all employees are onboard as we are in this together. Engagement in this phase is very important. Change is never easy but is needed in order to stay scalable and transform the organisation to grow sustainable.

Research (de Haan, 2020) shows that organisations in this growing phase, need to become more professional by setting up the organisational structure, processes, and routine
